Sketch the route.

Place appliances and junctions, connect measured pipe sections and prepare a brief for Robert. This LMR sketch planner totals entered routes and appliance inputs; it does not select pipe sizes.
How to use the sketch planner
- Add junctions, regulators and appliances. Drag the symbols into place, or use the position controls.
- For each item, choose the upstream connection and enter that pipe section’s measured length. Add vertical distance separately only if it is not already included.
- Enter actual nameplate gas input in BTU/h, not appliance output or generator electrical kW. Leave unknown values blank.
- Export or print your brief, then contact Robert to review the gas supply, applicable sizing method and project scope.
Planning only: a sketch cannot confirm meter capacity, permitted routing, bonding, pressure loss, installation compliance or a safe pipe diameter. Read what the longest measured run tells you.
Images stay in this tab and are not uploaded. Maximum 8 MB; PNG, JPG or WebP. The sketch is not to scale. Refreshing clears the plan—download a JSON copy to keep your work.
Gold lines highlight the longest complete entered route. A connection represents a measured section, not an approved installation route.
Downloads contain the details you enter. A restored JSON plan does not include the floor-plan image; select that image again if needed. No enquiry is sent automatically. Attach your exported brief or PDF in your email when contacting Robert.

Why the longest route is not a pipe size
This tool adds the lengths you enter along the connections from the meter to each appliance. It can highlight the longest complete route and total the known appliance input. The professional sizing method also needs the gas type, pressure arrangement, allowable pressure drop, material-specific data and treatment of fittings. A regulator or mixed-material system needs particular attention. The longest route drawn here is not a substitute for those decisions.
