VANCOUVER / REGENCY LRI4E-11 PILOT TIMING

Regency LRI4E pilot off after a week away? A Vancouver service guide

For specified Regency LRI4E-11 inserts, distinguish the documented seven-day CPI pilot timer from an unexplained shutdown before a Vancouver service enquiry.

You return to your Vancouver home after time away and notice the pilot is no longer visible in your Regency insert. Before describing that as a breakdown, establish which model you own and how long it has been since the main burner last operated. On the specific LRI4E models covered here, the owner manual explains a timed pilot feature that can matter to that conversation.

This guide explains the documented distinction and a useful observation to send with an enquiry. It is not a relighting procedure, a diagnosis or a report of work completed by BeeWarm.

First match the exact model and manual

The source is Regency’s combined LRI4E/HRI4E-11 manual 919-933k, dated October 27, 2025. This guide focuses on LRI4E-NG11 natural-gas and LRI4E-LP11 propane inserts listed on its cover. Do not apply the explanation automatically to earlier LRI4E versions or another fireplace that uses a similar-looking handset.

What the seven-day feature actually describes

Printed page 2 describes the ProFlame 1 on-demand pilot: in continuous-pilot mode (CPI), seven full days of inactivity can extinguish the pilot and shut the gas valve. The timer starts again when the main burner shuts down. The manual says the CPI/IPI switch can remain on after that timed shutdown.

Intermittent-pilot mode (IPI) is a separate case. The pilot follows each main-burner operating cycle; the manual explicitly excludes IPI operation from its seven-day explanation. These are documented operating distinctions, not evidence that a particular appliance is working correctly.

One low-risk owner check: reconstruct the timeline

Check your calendar for the last time you remember using the main burner. Was the home empty for more than a week, or did the pilot disappear while the fireplace was in regular use? Record what you actually know. If the last-use date or operating mode is uncertain, write “unknown” rather than selecting the answer that seems to fit.

You can also photograph the handset’s existing display without changing settings. Do not remove the glass, reach into the control compartment, move an unfamiliar switch or cycle the ignition to test this article’s explanation. A photograph and timeline are useful even when you cannot identify the mode.

What a qualified assessment needs to resolve

The timing alone cannot establish whether the observed shutdown was expected. A technician can confirm the installed model and control configuration, compare the reported sequence with the applicable instructions and decide whether further checks are needed. A pilot that will not establish, repeated unsuccessful starts or a loss of operation during normal use deserves a service assessment rather than repeated attempts.

Ask what was found and which further work is being proposed. Avoid ordering a replacement handset or other part solely because a pilot is out after a holiday. The useful question is whether the observation matches the installed system’s expected behaviour.

Ask Robert to confirm the service scope

For Vancouver fireplace service, contact Robert Hamilton at 604-765-8424, text Robert or email bee@beewarm.ca. Include the full model designation from your paperwork, the last known normal operation and what you can currently observe. Ask whether BeeWarm can assess that exact model; this page does not imply manufacturer authorisation or guarantee availability.

See Vancouver service information and BeeWarm fireplace services. For the next decision, read agreeing the service scope before approving a repair. The Valor 530 battery-signal guide concerns different equipment and must not be used as instructions for a Regency insert.

If you smell gas: leave the building without attempting ignition or operating electrical switches. Contact the gas supplier from outside; if unreachable, contact the fire department. Follow the manual’s cover instructions. This guide is for a service enquiry, not an emergency response assessment.
